The minor in social research methods and applied statistics prepares college graduates for entry-level applied and basic social research positions in a variety of settings including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic research centers.

I. Program Requirements (18 units)
Students majoring in another field may minor in social research methods and applied statistics by completing the following:
A. Required Courses (6-7 units)
Introductory Statistics (3-4 units)
Introductory Research Methods (3 uniits)
B. Advanced Social Research Methods (6 units)
Take at least two three-unit CO14 research methods courses from the following list:
C. Advanced Applied Statistics (6 units)
Take at least two three-unit courses in advanced applied statistics from the following list:
