A minor in Social Justice is offered through the Gender, Race and Identity Program in cooperation with the School for Social Research and Justice Studies and is housed in the College of Liberal Arts. Designed to increase students’ knowlege of justice, conflict, and social change and structural impediments or challenges to justice, the minor offers opportunities to develop complex critical thinking around issues, as well as strategies for change including activism, advocacy, social policy, and community organizing.

Students enrolled in the Social Justice minor will be required to complete 18 units. At least 9 units must be in upper-division (300-400 level) courses. All courses in the minor curriculum are three units each. Students interested in pursuing a minor in Social Justice should contact the undergraduate advisor in GRI.
