NevadaTeach Secondary Education and Physics, B.S./B.S. in Ed.


The Bachelor of Science with majors in Nevada Teach Secondary Education and Physics provides students with a solid background in physics and includes all of the coursework required to apply for certification to teach physics at the secondary level in the State of Nevada. Students who successfully complete the program are prepared to pursue graduate studies in physics, secondary school teaching, or an immediate career in science or technology.

Students must be eligible to enroll in MATH 181  and ENG 101  to be admitted to NevadaTeach Physics.

  • Residency Requirement | 30 Upper-Division Units at UNR
  • Major Residency Requirement | 15 Upper-Division Units in the major at UNR
  • Upper-Division Requirement | 40 Upper-Division Units
  • Half Program Units/4 Year Institution | 60 Units
