Students who start their career at Sierra College may complete a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Gender, Race, and Identity by following the course of study described below.
- A candidate for a bachelor’s degree must earn a minimum of 120 units, at least 42 of which must be in courses numbered 300 or above. A minimum of 30 units (300-level or above) must be taken in residence at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Note: After matriculation to the University of Nevada, Reno, students may not take substitute courses for Core Humanities. Students must satisfy any remaining CH requirements by completing the required CH courses.

College Breadth Requirement
Students seeking a Bachelor of Arts degree in the college shall be required to take, within the College of Liberal Arts, 6 credits that are outside the departments in which they major or minor, and that exclude courses taken to fulfill the Silver Core General Education requirements (Core Objectives 1 through 7).
