The minor in Secondary Education is designed to provide students with an opportunity to explore teaching at the secondary level as a career option while simultaneously completing a major in their chosen content area. After completion of the 18 credits designated for the minor, students must decide whether or not they want to continue in the secondary program to complete the secondary major. Attaining a teaching credential at the 7th – 12th grade levels in the State of Nevada requires that the secondary major be completed.
