Students who complete the Nevada Teach Professional Chemistry Program will earn two degrees: the Bachelor of Science in Education/Secondary Education and the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Additionally, graduates of this program will meet American Chemical Society requirements for a Professional Certificate in Chemistry. This program includes all of the coursework required to apply for certification to teach chemistry at the secondary level in the State of Nevada. Students who successfully complete this program are well prepared for careers in chemistry, secondary school teaching, or graduate study in Education and/or Chemistry.
