Nevada Global Academic Extended Accelerator Program

The Academic Extended Accelerator Program is a three-semester program designed specifically for students who are ready to succeed in immersive English-speaking classrooms, and also want the benefit of English-language and student support to help them thrive. The program curriculum offers a balance of university-wide and EAP-exclusive courses, with English-language course supplements that equip students with the practical, subject-specific vocabulary and skills that they need to excel in their course work.

Students may enter the program in the spring, summer or fall. Upon completion of the program, students progress into year two of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.  The students will be non-degree seeking and will need to apply to a degree seeking program.

Student Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • comprehend, analyze, synthesize, and discuss English texts for the purpose of furthering academic, personal, vocational and civic growth.
  • critically evaluate and modify own written language to enhance academic, personal, vocational, and civic communication.
