The School of Music offers a minor in Music Industry open to students across campus. Students in this minor will develop an appreciation for music genres, gain fundamental knowledge of music theory, receive training on recording devices and techniques, and gain practical exposure to the music industry.

I. Program Requirements (23 units)
This minor is not open to students pursuing any music major. Students with majors in another field may minor in music industry by completing the following: - Minor GPA| 2. 0
- Minor Upper-Division Units| 9
- Minor Residency Requirement| 6 Upper-Division Units in the minor at UNR
- Unit Limits: Per College of Liberal Arts policy, no more than 9 units counted toward any major may be reused to meet the requirements of this minor.
A. Music Foundations (8 units)
B. Recording Techniques (9 units)
C. Music Internship (3 units)
D. Music History/Industry Electives (3 units)
