This is an online program.
The Online Academy for Behavior Analysis (OnABA) is a branch of UNR’s Global Institute for Behavior Analysis. OnABA offers three admission cycles per year and a fully online curriculum. Students must meet all requirements for admission to the graduate school. Prospective graduate students may access the Graduate School’s website for current information and for online admissions applications.

Program Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to: - Use the principles and concepts of behavior analysis to inform professional practice across diverse settings.
- Design and adapt interventions using assessment results, data-based decision-making, and evidence-based practices adapted to meet contextual needs.
- Contribute to the science of behavior through the production of new knowledge as demonstrated by conference presentations, publications, and other forms of peer reviewed displays of work (delivering workshops, trainings etc.).
- Interpret and evaluate research and incorporate new knowledge in their work.
- Demonstrate respect for the diversity of the human experience by following ethical guidelines, maintaining a client-centered approach, delivering culturally appropriate interventions, and advocating for neurodiversity and accommodations.
Admissions Requirement
Applications for acceptance to the Master’s Program are submitted to the Graduate School and must include: - a graduate admission application, including fees;
- official college transcripts.
Additionally, application materials should be submitted to the area of specialization in the Department of Psychology. Those packets must include - statement of purpose and goals;
- two letters of recommendation; and
- a curriculum vitae.

The didactic curriculum includes 30 units in behavior analysis (including 3 units in methods and 7 units of practicum), as shown below. Practical Training (7 units)
The practicum provides practical training to graduate students under the oversight of faculty members. Practicum experiences may involve clinical, educational or organizational services, program development, research and/or teaching. Graduate Research (6 units)

OnABA’s flexible approach to curriculum delivery makes it the ideal program for working professionals. The M.S. program is accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International Accreditation Board. The curriculum includes 37 total credits and can be completed in five 13-week semesters or 20 months. This program includes research training, BCBA certification exam preparation, and practical training coordination. |
