Public Health, Ph.D.

The Ph.D. in Public Health is designed to prepare students for careers in which advanced analytical and conceptual capabilities are required, such as univeristy teaching, research, consulting policy development or other high-level positions. The curriculum includes courses providing a public health perspective and a specialization in a public helath discipline, as well as research and a dissertation. A specialization in Environmental and Occupational Health is currently offered. The program is a collaboration between the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Students can be admitted to either university and follow a common curriculum with options to take courses at either institution.
