- Holds can either be removed after advising until the next priority registration period OR not removed. If the hold is not removed, in order to add or drop classes students must use Probation Advisement Form: http://www.unr.edu/Documents/academic-central/forms/supplemental-probationary-advisor-form-20120608.pdf which requires the Manager’s signature.
Dismissal Appeal
- An undergraduate student may appeal academic dismissal by submitting a “Letter of Appeal” to the DHS Manager of Advisement, Recruitment and Retention who serves as the Chair of the Probation-Dismissal Committee.
- The Probation-Dismissal Committee which consists of the Manager, Chair in student’s major, and another advisor or undergraduate coordinator will review the appeal and forward their decision to the Vice President of Health Sciences for final determination as to whether or not the student will be dismissed according to university policy.
