The Western Regional Superpave Center (WRSC) is part of the Pavement Engineering & Science (PES) Program in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is one of five centers established by the Federal Highway Administration to promote the implementation of Superpave technology for asphalt pavements (http://www.wrsc.unr.edu ). The WRSC conducts national and regional research into pavement materials, design, performance, maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction. The research activities of WRSC are funded by federal, state, and local agencies and private industry. The WRSC research activities are conducted by faculty, full-time researchers, and graduate students at both the Master and Doctoral levels.
