AGSC 416 - Internship (1 to 3 units S/U Only) Coordinated work-study programs in industry or government under the direction of a faculty advisor. Written progress reports are prepared periodically and at the conclusion of the internship. May be repeated up to 6 credits.
Offered Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes (if available): Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to articulate and demonstrate improvement in professional etiquette - exhibit courteous, considerate, professional and respectful conduct. 2. Students will be able to articulate and demonstrate team work, collaboration and leadership. 3. Students will be able to develop a professional portfolio that relates to other academic experiences including Core and within their major classes, personal awareness and growth, diversity, professionalism and industry engagement. 4. Students will be able to communicate work assignments and learner outcomes. 5. Students will be able to combine critical thinking and analytical skills related to workplace issues. 6. Students will be able to evaluate their own areas of strength and improvement. 7. Students will be able to demonstrate professionally relevant competencies and relationships in a professional setting.
