ENGR 301 - Engineering Communication and Societal Integration (3 units) Researching and applying science and technology in societal context; integrating and synthesizing knowledge; communicating information and knowledge via oral, written, and visual presentation.
Prerequisites: ENG 102; PHYS 181 with a “C” or better; CH 201 or 202; CH 203; junior or senior standing
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes (if available): Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. Students will be able to design and conduct experiments, as well as to interpret data. 3. Students will be able to have a knowledge of contemporary issues. 4. Students will be able to have the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context. 5. Students will be able to function in a multi-disciplinary team. 6. Students will be able to have an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility. 7.
