MATH 182 - Calculus II (4 units) Methods of integration. Sequences and series, power series.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 181 with a “C-” or better.
Units of Lecture: 3 Units of Discussion/Recitation: 1 Offered Every Fall, Spring, and Summer Student Learning Outcomes (if available): Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to evaluate definite integrals using various techniques of integration, including substitution, integration by parts and partial fractions. 2. Students will be able to apply integration to compute various quantities arising in Science such as arc-lengths, areas, volumes, work, pressure, etc. 3. Students will be able to study infinite series using various convergence tests with applications to powers series representations of elementary functions.
