PSY 101 - General Psychology (3 units) Presents psychology as a science concerned with the actions of organisms in a social and cultural context. (Credit may not be earned in both PSY 101 and PSY 103.)
Units of Lecture: 3 Core Social Sci Requirement Offered Every Fall, Spring, and Summer Student Learning Outcomes (if available): Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to apply the knowledge, perspectives, principles, and types of reasoning employed in psychology as a social science. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate how the knowledge, perspectives, principles, and types of reasoning utilized in psychology as a social science may contribute to learning and human development. 3. Student will be able to demonstrate learning skills that showcase integrative thinking and the ability to transfer knowledge and skills from one setting to another.
