BIOL 630 - Field Ornithology (1 unit) Optional course to accompany BIOL 433 /BIOL 633 . Bird identification, behavior and ecology in the field.
Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate verbally or in writing an ability to correctly identify birds. 2. Students will be able to discuss verbally or in writing the life history and diversity of birds. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate verbally or in writing a basic understanding and appreciation of the behavior of birds. 4. Students will be able to synthesize orally or in writing as assessed by a presentation and/or written report significance of current topic as presented in this course.
