CPE 201 - Digital Design

(3 units)
Fundamentals of digital design. Topics include: number bases, binary arithmetic, Boolean logic, minimizations, combinational and sequential circuits, registers, counters, memory, programmable logic devices, register transfer.

Prerequisite(s): CS 135  with a “C” or better.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will have an ability to apply knowledge of computing, mathematics, science, and engineering.
2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
3. Students will have an ability to analyze a problem, and identify, formulate and use the appropriate computing and engineering requirements for obtaining its solution.
