Prerequisite(s): CRJ 104  (or CRJ 101 or CRJ 102).

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to demonstrate a general understanding of correctional systems in the United States.
2. Students will be able to identify historical and contemporary themes, trends, and issues in correctional systems in the United States.
3. Students will be able to articulate the global contexts of correctional history and reform.
4. Students will be able to identify similarities and differences in how the United States and other countries approach institutional and community-based corrections.
