Intensive study of the theory, and operation of the entire criminal justice system.

Prerequisite(s): Major in Criminal Justice or Criminal Justice (Law and Justice Specialization); Senior standing. Co-enrollment in or completion of all required Criminal Justice courses.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to identify and analyze the construction of misconceptions and mythology in our society impacting the criminal justice system and policies in a variety of contexts.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of ethical theories and issues in a variety of contexts relevant to the criminal justice system and employ moral decision-making in confronting ethical dilemmas.
3. Students will be able to exhibit an understanding of the complexity of diversity issues in criminal justice and their context.
