CRJ 462 - Community-Based Corrections (3 units) Explores role and function of the correctional process from a community perspective and analyzes current intermediate sanctions, such as work furlough, restitution, and intensive supervision.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to explain the historical origins of and contemporary trends in community corrections. 2. Students will be able to identify and evaluate critical issues in community-based corrections. 3. Students will be able to synthesize and evaluate research on community corrections topics.
