Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to identify and explain the reading and writing demands of their disciplines.
2. Students will be able to integrate into lessons the instructional strategies and assessments that will engage secondary students in developing disciplinary literacy.
3. Students will be able to identify the literacy needs of linguistically and socio-economically diverse secondary students and plan instruction that meets those needs.
