EDU 201 - Introduction to Teaching (PK-8) (3 units) Emphasizes the characteristics of effective teachers in contemporary classrooms. Includes field experience.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 102 ; pre-major in education.
Units of Lecture: 2 Units of Internship/Practicum: 1 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate preparedness for the Integrated Elementary Teaching Program and the rigors of a pre-service teacher candidacy by utilizing the theory and practice gained through lecture, class participation, assignment completion, and field experience.
