Invention, innovation, entrepreneurship, and design of products. Proposal writing, design, and fabrication procedures used by industry.

Prerequisite(s): ENG 102 ; CH 201  or CH 202  or CH 203  or CH 212 ; EE 221 EE 320 EE 490 ; Junior or Senior standing.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to explain relationship between invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
2. Students will be able to develop a business plan for commercializing a product subject to intellectual property protection and technology transfer laws.
3. Students will be able to evaluate the ethical issues involved in the business plans and products, then present their findings..
4. Students will be able to present business plan to their peers.
5. Students will be able to transform the business idea to a product.
6. Students will be able to implement, document, and present a design plan.
7. Students will be able to prepare and present project report.
