EECB 794 - Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Colloquium (1 unit) Presentation of original research by visiting scientists, NSHE faculty, and graduate students completing doctoral degrees.

Grading Basis: S/U only Units of Lecture: 1 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to effectively assess 10 professional scientific presentations. 2. Students will be able to critique the science presented by visiting scientists. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate ability to understand and summarize complex ideas in ecology, evolution and conservation biology that have been communicated orally. 4. Students will be able to demonstrate strategies for organizing scientific colloquia.
