EL 757 - College Student Development Theory (3 units) Major theories of college student development, the role of student development theory in Higher Education, and application of student development theory to student affairs practice.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring - Odd Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to describe and analyze the major student development theories. 2. Students will be able to apply student development theories to current and future leadership roles and practices in higher education. 3. Students will be able to analyze research related to student development theory. 4. Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the interaction between college students and their environment.
