Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to analyze formal aspects of literary narrative, including plot, point of view, setting, character, and dialogue. 2. Students will be able to articulate the relationships between form and content within texts. 3. Students will be able to write a textual analysis that relies on and integrates textual evidence and appropriate secondary sources. 4. Students will be able to identify the defining features of the major genres of prose, poetry, and drama.
