Introduction to Old Icelandic language and literature.

Prerequisite(s): ENG 303  or Junior standing.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to demonstrate their mastery of Old Norse grammar and vocabulary.
2. Students will be able to synthesize this knowledgeof the grammar as they work with a synthetic language.
3. Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to translate Old Norse prose and poetry.
