Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the major research methods in English studies.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate familiarity with the major lines of analysis in their intended areas of specialization.
3. Students will be able to demonstrate their fluency in research and analysis by producing a substantial, original scholarly paper.
