WLL 795 - Comprehensive Examination (1 to 3 units) Course is used by graduate programs to administer comprehensive examinations either as an end of program comprehensive examination or as a qualifying examination for doctoral candidates prior to being advanced to candidacy. For French, German and Spanish majors only.
Grading Basis: S/U Only Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to identify key texts, figures, concepts, and movements relevant to the Spanish language and Hispanic literatures and cultures. 2. Students will be able to express ideas clearly and persuasively in writing, using relevant evidence to support arguments. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate an advanced command of the Spanish language in writing. 4. Students will be able to write critical analyses of cultural texts. 5. Students will be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the Spanish language and Hispanic literatures and cultures.
