GEOG 106 - Introduction to Cultural Geography (3 units) CO6, CO11 Systematic consideration of the spatial aspects of human culture. Major theses: spatial history and morphology, society-land relations and political/economic development. Discussion sessions required.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to define and explain key concepts, themes, and approaches in human geography. 2. Students will be able to recognize and interpret the emergence and influence of globalization at different scales and in different sites. 3. Students will be able to apply critical thinking, writing, and creative skills to analyze geographic relationships and processes in a global context.
