HDFS 634 - Family Life Education (3 units) Programming and skills-training in family life education. Developing needs assessments, programs for presentation and evaluation components.
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to describe the major principles and practices used in family life education. 2. Students will be able to identify their own learning style and personality traits as well as biases inherent in the different learning styles. 3. Students will be able to evaluate resources on the web for finding scientifically accurate information and practical applications appropriate to family life education. 4. Students will be able to find and evaluate the quality of resources published in peer reviewed social science journals.
