(3 units)Principles of engineering thermodynamics. A study of the first and second laws, entropy, ideal and real gases, and second-law analysis of engineering systems. (CHE 311 and ME 311 are cross-listed; credit may be earned in one of the two.)
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 181 with a “C” or better and CHEM 121A with a “C” or better or CHEM 201. Corequisite(s): PHYS 181 for CHE majors.
