ME 653 - Mechanical Vibrations (3 units) Theory of mechanical vibrations with applications to machinery. Includes critical speeds, torsional vibrations, isolation, damping, absorbers, uniform beams, etc. Lectures, experiments, problems.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data.
