MUS 101 - Mus Fundamentals (3 units) Notation, terminology, intervals, scales and chords. Designed to furnish a foundation for musicianship.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Summer Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of music fundamentals such as pitch, key, and intervallic identification as well as scale construction and proper notation. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to read notes written in both the treble and bass clefs. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to apply these music fundamentals to the keyboard.
