SOC 710 - History of Social Thought (3 units) Development of social thought from earlier times to the beginning of the 20th century, with emphasis on social theorists of the late 19th century.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to identify central concepts and perspectives in classical social theory. 2. Students will be able to compare and contrast competing classical theoretical perspectives. 3. Students will be able to critically analyze and apply classical social theories to real world issues.
