SOC 732 - Social Psychology and Culture (3 units) Overview of the ways in which cultural influences help shape human social thinking, values, and behavior.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to identify important theories, findings and controversies pertaining to the social psychological study of culture, and describe major insight from different research fields devoted to the study of human culture. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate familiarity with major empirical research methods in social psychological research on culture. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate analytical skills in examining and critiquing theory and research pertaining to social psychological research on culture.
