SPA 330 - Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Language Mechanism (3 units) Anatomical, neurological, physiological, and physical bases of speech, language, and voice production.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to identify the anatomical structures of the central and peripheral nervous system and discuss their functional role. 2. Students will be able to identify the anatomical structures involved in respirations, phonation, resonance, and articulation. 3. Students will be able to explain the phsyiological functions of the structures of respiration, phonation, resonance, and articulation.
