SRJS 729 - Jury Decision-Making (3 units)
Study of jury decision-making from psychological, sociological and justice perspectives. Discussion of how litigants, lawyers, victims, legal processes and society affect criminal and civil verdicts.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to apply theories on jury decision-making to selected court cases.
2. Students will be able to describe, explain, and defend an original position on jury decision-making based on previous research, justice principles, and legal theory.
3. Students will be able to synthesize and interpret dominant theories on jury decision-making.
4. Students will be able to contrast and evaluate previous research and legal discourse on juries and jury decision-making.
