ME 768 - Low-Reynolds Number Flows (3 units) Physical principles and methods for analytical and numerical calculation of flows involving Reynolds numbers much less than one.
Prerequisite(s): ME 467 /ME 667 or another course covering differential forms of fluid conservation laws and dimensional analysis, plus familiarity with solutions to ODEs and PDEs.
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. Students will be able to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of and practice sound research methodology.
