Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to identify a novel research project that will extend knowledge in and have a strong impact on relevant areas of social and behavioral research.
2. Students will be able to review the literature related to their chosen dissertation topic, synthesize and critically evaluate it, and derive from it novel research questions and hypotheses.
3. Students will be able to carry out an advanced, independent, and multifaceted research project on topic of their choice.
4. Students will be able to communicate and defend the results of the dissertation research in writing and in an oral presentation.
