ME 758 - Thermal and Structural Analysis of Nanomaterials (3 units) This course provides an introduction to basic theories and computational methods for investigating thermal transport, energy conversion, and mechanical deformation processes at the nanoscale.
Prerequisite(s): Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: MATLAB, C, C++, Fortran, Python.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. Students will be able to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. Students will be able to understand research methodology.
