Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. exchange information about subjects of special interest to him/her. 2. participate with ease and confidence in conversations on familiar topics. 3. talk about events and experiences in various time frames. 4. describe people, places, and things and handle social interactions in everday situations, sometimes even when there is an unexpected complication. 5. demonstrate familiarity with the cultural norm often crucial in communicating with native speakers of Japanese. 6. start, maintain, and end a conversation on a varity of familiar topics.
