CEE 442 - Fundamentals of Geotechnical Engineering (4 units) Weight-volume relationships and soil compaction; permeability and seepage; consolidation and settlement; shear strength and application to lateral earth pressure, bearing capacity and slope stability. (CEE 442 and GE 442 are cross-listed; credit may be earned in one of the two.)
