CMPP 740 - Neuroeffector Pharmacology (3 units) Basic topics in neurotransmission including neuromuscular pharmacology and autonomic pharmacology. Methods and current problems applied to the study of neuroeffector systems including nerves and muscles.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate knowledge of the nervous system from an integrated view point that incorporates knowledge from the disciplines of cell biology, molecular biology, neural development, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, and neuroscience. 2. critically discuss experimental approaches in neuroscience research and in studies on neuroeffector mechanisms in particular. 3. demonstrate understanding of the basis for discovering new paradigms in neuroscience.
