CS 647 - Computer Systems Administration (3 units) Account maintenance, backups, restoration, system configuration, resource allocation and monitoring, network management, peripheral administration, emphasis on UNIX systems.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. design, implement, and evaluate a computing or engineering solution to meet a given set of requirements, with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. 2. apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based solutions. 3. apply engineering and computer science research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline.
