DAN 335 - Ballet (Advanced) (1 unit) Advanced techniques of ballet.

Grading Basis: Graded Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the technique, artistry, and performance of ballet dance. 2. demonstrate advanced-level performance of intricate movement phrases and complex choreography. 3. recognize more complex rhythmic patterns as well as demonstrate a nuanced response to different forms of musical accompaniment in performance. 4. demonstrate awareness of body alignment and anatomical efficiency in stillness and in motion. 5. demonstrate awareness of historical and/or contemporary trends in the field of ballet dance.
