ECE 655 - Assessment of Children Birth to Age 8 (3 units) Issues, considerations and procedures for assessing infants and young children, including assessment of their environments.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate knowledge of the impact of No Child Left Behind and Response to intervention on assessing young children. 2. demonstrate knowledge of the decisions that impact the assessment process. 3. demonstrate knowledge of the role of observation in the assessment process. 4. demonstrate knowledge of the types of assessments. 5. demonstrate knowledge of the role of the family and culture in the assessment process. 6. demonstrate knowledge of the impact of No Child Left Behind and Response to intervention on assessing young children.
