ECON 772 - Spatial Economics (3 units) Theory and analysis of economic concentration and dispersion across space: established location, human migration, endowments, amenities, transport costs, (dis)economies of scale, agglomeration, spatial general equilibrium.
Prerequisite(s): ECON 702 .
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate knowledge of the economic concepts important to locations. 2. identify and assess urban and regional problems, propose solutions, and evaluate performances. 3. analyze data and produce quality research papers on spatial issues.
