Practicum to assess, evaluate, and diagnose learning among struggling readers and writers, prepare reports, and study current methods and research.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. articulate foundational concepts of assessment in literacy.
2. identify and address literacy assessment issues related to equity, diversity, and validity.
3. effectively use and interpret literacy assessments with struggling readers.
4. communicate assessment results to different audiences.
5. make instructional decisions based on assessment results.
